Domaine Duseigneur is all about making great wine through biodynamic principles, and their dedication to these principles is reflected in the beautiful astrolabe printed on all their labels (an astrolabe is an elaborate instrument used in astronomy, which plays an important role in biodynamics). Situated in the beautiful village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Duseigneur is one of over 300 different producers based in this charming little corner of France. Bernard Duseigneur was once an investment banker, but decided to leave the corporate world to return to his roots and joined his father and brothers on the other side of the Rhone river before striking out on his own and setting up Domaine Duseigneur as we know it today.
What makes Domaine Duseigneur different from the literally hundreds of other producers in Chateauneuf-du-Pape is their complete dedication to organic and biodynamic winemaking, and their care for the environment, and the fact that their wines are produced in partnership with Philippe Faure-Brac, who was elected the world’s best sommelier in 1992 (we assume that means he knows a thing or two about wine).
The focus at Domaine Duseigneur is the terroir of the wines, each bottle is a showcase of the land and the climate in which the grapes are grown.
